Day 2812 | Archery
/From air rifles to archery, the 4-H Shooting Sports program continues. This time both boys are participating. I’m not sure they have hunting in their future (I know I don’t) but targets are sure fun to aim at.

What do you do when it’s 70 degrees in March? Take a walk and stop at the playground for some quick monkey bar action, of course.
This spring weather won’t last, I’m sure, but it sure does give you hope!
Fun event at Robbe’s school tonight. Check out this sweet piece of art. According to his artist statement, it was influenced by a ball flying through the air.
I realized I didn’t post anything with Robbe’s birthday photo collage. That’s not acceptable! Enjoy the year’s worth of memories of our favorite new 11 year old.
We spent the whole weekend celebrating this guy! Lots of pinball (lots of it), ice cream cake, video games, sushi, puzzling, presents galore, and so many messages from family and friends. Pretty great, right?
He felt the love and deserved every bit of the celebration.
The most creative item used for a bookmark yet. And we’ve had some good ones over the years.
What a lovely morning for working a pancake breakfast! Chris and the boys rocked the front of house and I handled some of the flipping. People love pancake breakfasts for a good cause, I guess! Chase even got interviewed by a local radio station. I’ll share the link when it airs. :)
I love these two so much.
What a wonderful weekend filled with lots of birthday love and family togetherness. A few highlights include:
Thrift shopping
Movie theater popcorn
Snacky dinner
Reading time
Cross country skiing
Pinballing
French fries eating
Movie time
Board gaming
Our first salt cave experience
A sauna session
And even a birthday massage (but that was just me)
Thank goodness for the long weekend so we could fit all of this in.
We appreciate all the texts, calls, messages, and happy thoughts people sent our way over the last few days. We are lucky indeed.
What a random (but fun!) holiday.
Swimming season is back and, I have to say, I’m pretty excited about it. I like the warmth and humidity of the pool cheering area. I like watching Chase do something I could never do. And I like how hard he has to work at it.
We were at the middle school for Robbe tonight. Oh, the excitement!! Band prep starts early around here and Robbe is ready for it.
More friends did show up. We were just early. :)
For the first time ever, I’m not doing a team update on the “00” tick-over to 2800. I don’t have a current full family photo to use and this week is just too bonkers to pull something together. Instead, I’m giving myself some grace and posting about some of the fun daily activities until I can get my team post together. You don’t mind, right?
These sweet photos are from the 4-H variety show at a local senior living center. It’s one of my favorite 4-H activities of the year and this one was no exception. The boys both played piano and enjoyed sweets afterward. Not bad for a weeknight!
These two. They’re good friends.
Another day, another cat snuggling photo. This time, the cat’s sleeping in a bag! Can you believe the craziness over here?
We got to celebrate the new book of one of our a favorite people! I’m beyond excited to bust into A Forty Year Kiss. I’ve heard it’s the perfect pre-Valentine’s Day read.
Happy reading!
Robbe and I had a great time at his school’s Wacky Winter Dance last night. Fun times with good friends. Nothing better!
Nothing to see here.
This guy smoked me at Battleship this morning. He only had two non-hits! A bit of luck and some skill made for a quick game.
Another beautiful winter weekend at the lake. The temps were warmer than they have been so we managed cross country skiing AND ice skating. Lots of relaxing by the fire, reading, and hot tubbing, too.
Now if only the days would go by a bit more slowly.
